Sleek, editorial and stylish, The Edit is a timeless, magazine-inspired brand kit that features bold type and minimal layouts, perfect for incorporating strong imagery and making a statement as a luxury brand.

Type-driven layouts play with proportion and balance out graphic layouts, and by sticking with a few key fonts and brand elements, it’s easy to capture attention while keeping things simple and streamlined.

Palette

Keeping with the magazine inspiration, we’ve designed The Edit in a primarily black and white color palette, though there are some subtle neutral tones and rich, deep brown tones to round it out. Don’t forget — we’ll work closely with you to customize a colour palette that will fit your brand specifically.

Soundtrack

We believe that a brand should call on all five senses, and so we’ve curated a soundtrack for each playlist to round out the experience and get you in the mood.

Our semi-custom brands are for small businesses who are looking for a cohesive brand experience but aren’t ready for the significant investment or want to wait months for fully custom. They’re perfect for those just starting out and need some extra support in creating a brand they’re confident in.

 
 

 

 

The Process

Professionally designed in our signature editorially-inspired, elevated style, the brand suites are primed to position you with a cohesive brand identity that follows the same strategy-led process as our custom projects, with the same attention to detail and refined quality we approach every project with.

Each kit is designed with specific brand personalities in mind, so all you need to do is find the one that aligns with your style, answer a few questions for us, and we’ll customize the brand for you — in two weeks.

No. 01 —

Choose a brand kit that aligns with your brand style and answer a few questions. This will give us the details we need to customize your brand so it's uniquely yours.

No. 02 —

We'll send you a mini moodboard that captures your brand and the vibe of the semi-custom brand you chose, and also explores a custom colour palette for you.

No. 03 —

You'll be sent your newly customized brand elements for approval, including your primary and secondary logos, brand marks, tagline design, brand pattern and any additional accents.

No. 04 —

You'll receive you brand style guide. This is where your new brand is all laid out, and we'll include your colour palette and type hierarchy, so you know exactly how to use everything.

No. 05 —

If social media templates are part of your package, we'll work closely with you to customize your templates so they fit the type of content you plan on sharing. Those will be sent in Canva.

No. 06 —

We'll send you all your final brand files and you're ready to start using your new brand!

 
 
 

Social Templates, The Edit

 

Designed to be paired with each brand kit as a way to carry your branding over to social media, these templates are the perfect way to ensure you have a cohesive brand experience at every touchpoint.

Designed and shared in Canva so they’re easy for you to edit and build off of, we’ll customize the templates in alignment with your new semi-custom brand, updating the brand elements and colour palette and working with you to adjust them so the layouts work for your specific content. Optimized in vertical dimensions that will work on Instagram, Pinterest, blogs, newsletters, and wherever else you may need them!

FAQ

  • Two weeks! Once you purchase and choose your start day, we’ll send you a timeline of how the time is laid out, but you can expect to receive your new brand two weeks after your design week starts.

  • Custom Color Palette, Primary and Secondary Logos, Brand Marks, Tagline Design, Brand Pattern or Accents (depending on the specific brand), customized social media templates, and a Brand Style Guide with your new brand all laid out.

  • Yes! Once we dive into your brand, we’ll identify what customizations would work best and redesign the brand with that in mind, so that you have a brand that is uniquely yours and showcases your signature style.

  • There’s one revision included, but we can also add rounds on at an hourly rate of $200/hr. But we find that because of the nature of the designs and our process, usually only one is needed!

  • We’ll help you as part of the process and make suggestions based on what we learn through the questionnaire and building out your mini moodboard, guiding you through what we think will work best for your brand specifically.

  • You’ll need to purchase the licenses for the fonts included in the brand kit, but we’ll provide you with a “shopping list” so it’s easy to do.

  • There are only three of each brand available, so once they’re gone, that’s it! We want to keep them limited edition and special.

  • If you want, yes! Once we customize your brand, we’ll build out the mockups with your new branding and include that for you to use however you want. Most of the photos we use are from license-free stock photography sites, so if they fit with your brand style, we can absolutely include those as well, or help you source more aligned stock photography from paid or free sources.

  • We offer discounted Design Intensives for our semi-custom brand clients, so whether you want to do this right away as we’re building out your brand, or circle back to it later, we can absolutely work with you to ensure you have everything you need with your new brand.

Using the brand kit as a creative basis, our semi-custom websites are an invitation to bring your brand to life, incorporating your customized colors, typography, and branding with your unique content to create a seamless online experience. Each site has been designed and developed following the same process as our custom projects, prioritizing strategy and creativity to create the perfect virtual home for your business.
