01 // This time of year is one of my favourites, when neighbourhood walks are filled with flowers and garden-scouting, and the city starts to come alive, whether it's a busy downtown street or a lazy residential 'hood. I've been spending as much time as possible outside, relishing my morning dog walks as a time to hunt for garden inspiration and pick out dream homes. A few weeks ago I planted the gardens up at our family cottage, and our little patio has also quickly been filled with as much greenery and bursts of bright florals as possible.

01 // With the heatwave that we've been experiencing this past week, frozen treats have quickly become an integral part of our diet. I finally ordered a popsicle mold, so I've been on the hunt for new recipes to add to my arsenal. Though I usually opt for more fruity and refreshing popsicle options, these Funfetti Cake Batter Popsicles definitely sound like they'd hit the spot when you're looking for a dessert option.

01 // A Grand Budapest Hotel themed tea party? Yes please! Sugar & Cloth is always a go-t0 source of styling and DIY inspiration, and this collaboration shoot with BHLDN is no exception, featuring details drawn from one of my favourite Wes Anderson films.

01 // A colourful style guide. I'm still on a bit of a branding kick as I (slowly) continue with the Bicyclette rebrand and work on a few other exciting projects, and the design nerd in me is especially loving style guides and brand boards right now, which pull together all the graphic elements of a brand. The colour palette and branding for restaurant Calexico'sis right on point.

01 // Now that the weather is finally warming up (fingers crossed it stays that way), my mind has gone into photo shoot planning mode, ready to take advantage of the opportunity to shoot outside and capture that quintessential summer vibe. Wildfox, as always, is a source of inspiration.

Love Notes // VOL. 1

01 // Colourful cacti and little gold planters. I have a number of these little guys throughout the apartment and studio already, and I love how they add a little bit of life and colour into any space. Though the cacti themselves can be pretty easy to find, I always have a hard time finding planters that I love. I like the minimalist, antiqued look of this gold planter, though I'm thinking I might replicate the look with an old planter I already own and a coat of spray paint.
