Beyond the rich fall colours and the layered outfits, there's a certain je ne sais quoi about fall that enchants us every season. There's a sense of mystery and darkness that goes hand-in-hand with the chilly mornings and makes us want to curl up with a good book and enjoy moments to ourself. Last week we headed up north with photographer Jason Matos to shoot our October lookbook, and we really wanted to capture that feeling through the photographs and tell a story, with hazy early mornings, stolen secluded moments, and secret escapes served as the basis of our inspiration. The natural setting was unbelievable and the weather couldn't have been more perfect, allowing us to play with the light at various times of day and really explore the property.
In terms of the styling, the intention was to showcase the fall colour palette that is currently in store and juxtapose the beautiful backdrop with a variety of textures of our own. We never shy away from colour, and this season there are so many stunning floral prints that were ideal for layering with cozy knits, military-inspired jackets and other favourites.
