We were excited to see Nicole of Dainty Girl feature our Coral Crush Dress in her "Long Weekend Pretty" post. She looked so fresh and summery with her flowing locks, statement jewellery and strappy flats. We love seeing our local bloggers representing local fashion! Thanks Dainty Girl.

Today marks a VERY important milestone in our little home, because we are now officially moved into our bedroom thanks to a gift from @casper. That's right, no more camping out in the living room. Not only that, but we made a very adult decision to upgrade to a king size mattress, because somehow our tiny dog was taking up about half our bed, and in situations such as this, I'm going to go ahead and say that size does matter. As do magical cloud-like pillows and super soft sheets. Hello, sweet dreams! #inmycasper
We still have unpacking to do and our bed is currently in the living room while I wait for my headboard fabric to arrive, but at least my kitchen shelves are sitting pretty! It's the little things
We walked in on day two of @loomcurated knowing we would be styling two shoots but totally in the dark as to the details. For this type A creative and recovering perfectionist, that's a tough position to be in. Not knowing what our concept was, what brand we were styling for, or what props we would be working with. Talk about being put on the spot. But we followed the process and started by developing a story, watching as the details came into focus and the concept bloomed, until we were left with a tablescape and a series of still lives that captured what we had envisioned. Magic. I can't wait to share more of this shoot soon, styled with @lottaheylook, @nordandmae and @priscillaychan (#teamPPL!) and with guidance from the oh-so-talented @veronicarogers_ and @ginnyau. And just wait until you see how @laurenkurc captured it. Next-level magic ✨
I've been challenging myself to reframe how I look at the relationship between styling and storytelling. To embrace the imperfection, to pay attention to the simplest of details and the meanings they evoke. The spaces we live in, the clothes we wear, the scenes we find ourselves within — they're deconstructed, they hint at a story beneath, of layers beyond what the eye first sees. And that's what makes things more interesting. Life is messy, and yet we have this tendency towards perfection when we're given the chance to create from scratch. To gloss over the grit. Instead, let's try to capture the realness. The crumbs on a tablescape, the necklaces strewn across the dresser, the haphazardly half-tucked tee. Those are the moments I want to know more about, that's where the real story is.
Dreaming of bare skin and warm ocean breezes while in reality wearing an obscene number of layers and listening to icy rain dance against the windows. Total normally for April (#sarcasm)
Dear Mother Nature — I love you, but something's gotta give. These April showers are flirting dangerously close to freezing rain and for the sake of everyone around me, I really need a little sunshine in my life. Plus, I'd really like to wear cute shoes again — xo, Paige
Rainy days always leave me feeling a little nostalgic, and what better way to spend a gloomy day than by reminiscing about delicate lacy veils, pretty lingerie and luscious blooms? ⠀

We moved in to our new place just over a week ago, but considering I was away for three of those days and have been back and forth between Toronto twice, it feels like a mere couple of days, if that. We got rid of a lot of our furniture, opting to start minimal and carefully curate what feels right for the space and our needs. So though it feels a little sparse at the moment, working with a blank slate is full of promise and potential, and decisions like which shade of velvet we should use to cover a vintage chair I've had for years are currently dancing around in my head. This soft shade of sage green is currently at the top of my list, pairing perfectly with those touches of pink that tend to follow me from space to space (surprise surprise). Any favourite colour palettes that are at the top of your list lately?
I'm still in the post-workshop glow of @loomcurated, processing everything we learned and the experience as a whole. But one thing I can say for certain, right now in this moment, is that it changed me. It gave me direction, it inspired me to push myself in ways that I didn't know I needed to be pushed, and it lit a creative fire in me that I had let burn out. I guess that's what happens when you find yourself in the midst of a group of ridiculously talented women. Never have I felt such a raw creative energy and an overwhelming sense of collaboration, and it was such a breath of fresh air to be released from the competition that often goes hand in hand with creative industries. We need more of that. Way more. And while we're at it, I'll take more beautifully styled, perfectly deconstructed shelves as well (like these, from our day one lifestyle shoot). Can't wait to share more... to be continued!
